I have a prescription for a brace, so what do I do now?
Once your doctor has given you a written order for a brace you can either call us, or stop by our Massapequa location to discuss your insurance eligibility, and the availability of the prescribed item. We generally have most sizes, and styles of OTS braces in stock. However, if you need a custom brace, or a size/style we are currently out of we can generally have them in our showroom in a few days.
Can I Get The Brace I was Prescribed Covered By My Insurance?
Both Medicare and private health insurance plans pay for a large portion, or sometimes even all costs associated with many types of braces. Most health insurance plans have similar rules to Medicare, but you should know that all private health insurance plans vary and the specific rules of your plan may differ from these Medicare guidelines. We accept most of the major health insurance plans. We would be happy to work with you and your insurance company to help you understand how your plan works as it relates to home medical equipment needed by you or a loved one.
